Shannon Tran, PhD, LP

“Hello! I’m glad you have found your way here. If you’re reading this, it most likely means you have some concerns about your child or yourself, and you’re wondering if a psychological evaluation would be helpful to you. Here you will find a snippet about my educational background and the services that I offer.

I completed my undergraduate studies at UCLA and my graduate studies at Michigan State University. My postgraduate training took me to Florida where I completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Palm Beach County Youth Services Department, and then to Minnesota where I completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Washburn Center for Children. I have experience working in a variety of settings, including public schools, community mental health centers, juvenile detention centers, and partial residential treatment centers.

I specialize in psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. My expertise is in ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disability, depression, anxiety, behavioral disorders, and autism. I employ a multidimensional approach to gather the data that I need to provide diagnostic clarification and treatment recommendations.

Even though a psychological evaluation is meant to serve as a blueprint for treatment, my clients have often walked away with something more meaningful, such as validation for their ongoing struggles or new insight about themselves that they haven’t thought about before. If this is what you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact me.

In addition to providing psychological evaluations, I also accept a small number of therapy clients. I primarily work with children (ages 6 and up) and adolescents”.
